The calculator never phones home

Your room dimensions, door counts, coverage rates and prices are read by a JavaScript file inside your own browser and written back to your own screen. There is no form submission, no API endpoint, no results page stored server-side — the numbers exist in the tab’s memory and evaporate when it closes. Check it yourself: open the network inspector, run a calculation, and watch nothing leave. Or switch on airplane mode after the page loads; the math still works.

What delivering the page involves

Requesting any website necessarily shows the server your IP address, the URL you asked for, a timestamp and your browser’s user-agent string. Pages here are served from Cloudflare’s edge network, which processes that metadata to deliver files and filter abuse. PaintCalc operates no user database and no logs of our own for that metadata to accumulate into.

Third-party advertising

Pages may carry ads served by Google AdSense or similar networks. Those networks can set their own cookies and identifiers to count impressions and — where permitted — personalize what you see. That relationship is between your browser and the ad network; calculator inputs are never part of it because they were never transmitted. Google’s ad settings, private windows or a content blocker all control it, and the calculator works identically with ads blocked.

The do-not list

• No first-party cookies — this site sets none.
• No storage — nothing in localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB; nothing syncs, nothing persists.
• No accounts or email gates — there is nothing to sign up for, and no result is held hostage.
• No analytics product — no tag managers or heatmap scripts of ours run on these pages.
• No data sale — there is no usage data on our side to sell or share, full stop.
